On November 6th, OSDSS held it 3rd Annual Empty Bowl Fundraiser. What a wonderful night at OSDSS Empty Bowls Fundraising event.
Tickets purchased at Sunpoint in Owen Sound were exchanged for beautiful bowls made by local artists Timothy Smith, Terri Del Signore, Bruce Cochrane, Kelly Rasmussen, Murray Fox, Megan Jones, and Anke Dirks-Wehrmann.
The students then filled the bowls with delicious hot soups made by Deb Kaski and the OSDSS Cafeteria & Foods Program: Traditional Chicken Vegetable, Cheesy Broccoli, Moroccan Vegetable, and Thai Sweet Potato. All the groceries donated by Owen Sound Foodland.
Next was on to dessert….decadent ice cream donated by Chapman’s Ice Cream.
The students from Ms.Ferguson’s Leadership class with the support of Mr. Jones and Mr. Day worked so hard. The student’s care and enthusiasm for their community shone through the whole evening.
